Norm's Sakakawea Fishing Tips.
|
We waited all Winter for Spring to arrive, and it's now here. The months of May and June are the best time to catch a limit of walleyes on Lake Sakakawea. The fish will be in shallow water which has warmed up sooner than the deeper areas of the lake. The best presentation will be to cast a jig and minnow into 5 to 10 feet of water and keep moving until you find the fish. The water level continues to rise and the boat ramp at Captain Kit's Marina / Lake Sakakawea State Park is in wonderful shape.
Good luck - Norm |
THE OLD ADAGE IN REAL ESTATE ALSO MAKE A GOOD RULE FOR FISHING. THE THREE MOST IMPORTANT FACTORS ARE "LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION... IF THE FISH ARE NOT BITING, MOVE...
